Brent Davis appointed Chief Legal Counsel, Maine Governor's Office

April 18, 2017: Brent Davis was appointed as the Chief Legal Counsel at the Maine Governor’s Office by Gov. Paul LePage on Wednesday, April 12, 2017. Davis succeeds Avery Day, who resigned in December, 2016, to create a private law practice. Davis was previously a First Assistant District Attorney for the Somerset and Kennebec County District Attorney’s Office. Davis was also previously a Law Enforcement Officer for the Rockport Police Department from 1993 to 1999. Davis received an A.D. in criminal justice from the University of Maine, Augusta.
