Isadore Hall appointed California Agricultural Labor Relations Board Member

April 21, 2017: The California State Senate yesterday, Thursday, April 20, 2017, approved the appointment of former California State Sen. Isadore Hall to the state government’s Agricultural Labor Relations Board by a 25-13 vote. California Gov. Jerry Brown appointed Hall for the position after Hall lost a Congressional race in 2016 to a fellow Democrat, Rep. Nanette Barragan. The five-Member Agricultural Relations Board considers cases related to unfair labor practices and oversees collective bargaining rights for the industry. Hall, of Compton, was in the California State Senate from 2014 to 2016, and he was a California State Assemblyman from 2008 to 2014. The seat on the Agricultural Board pays $142,095 per year.
