Jonathan Liberman appointed as Maine District Attorney

May 15, 2017: Jonathan Liberman was appointed as a Maine District Attorney for District 6 by Gov. Paul LePage on Monday, May 1, 2017. District 6 includes Sagadahoe, Lincoln, Knox and Waldo counties. Liberman succeeds Geoffrey Rushlau, who was re-assigned as a Maine District Court Judge. Liberman was most recently a Deputy District Attorney for Knox, Lincoln, Waldo and Sagadahoc Counties. He held the position since July, 2016. From May, 2011, until his appointment as the Deputy District Attorney, he was an Assistant District Attorney for District 6. Liberman received his law degree from the University of Maine School of Law.
