Michael Ricci resigns as Communications Director for U.S. Rep. Paul Ryan, Wisconsin Republican

March 11, 2019: Michael Ricci has been appointed as the Communications Director at the Maryland Governor’s Office, effective tomorrow, Tuesday, March 12, 2019, Gov. Larry Hogan announced on Friday, March 8, 2019. Ricci succeeds Amelia C. Alcivar, who is scheduled to resign later this month, March, 2019, to take a senior communications position at the Republican Governors Association. Ricci, of Montgomery County, Md., has worked in the marketing and communications fields for more than fifteen years. He was most recently the Director of Communications for U.S. House Speaker and Rep. Paul Ryan, Wisconsin Republican, from 2015 to this year, 2019. Ricci was previously the Deputy Communications Director and Chief Speechwriter for former U.S. House Speaker John Boehner, Ohio Republican. Ricci also held several communications positions for Members of Congress. Ricci received a bachelor’s degree in history and political science from Columbia University.
