April 11, 2019: Eli Miller has been hired as an official at the investment and finance company Blackstone Group LP. Miller, 36, is scheduled to work on public policy at the world’s largest alternative asset management company, a Spokesman for New York-based Blackstone said. Steven Mnuchin, the Secretary of the U.S. Department of the Treasury, announced last week, the week of March 31-April 6, 2019, that Miller was resigning from his position as Mnuchin’s Chief of Staff, a position that Miller held for the last two years. Miller joined the presidential campaign of Donald Trump in May, 2016. Miller joins Blackstone lobbyist Wayne Berman, increasing the company’s political presence in Washington, D.C. Berman was previously the chairman of Marco Rubio’s presidential campaign, where Miller also worked. Blackstone manages $472 billion in real estate, private equity, credit and other investments.
