Nicholas Majett hired as Administrative Law Judge, Washington, D.C., Contract Appeals Board

April 12, 2019: Nicholas Majett was hired as an Administrative Law Judge at the Washington, D.C., Contract Appeals Board by Mayor Muriel Bowser on Tuesday, April 9, 2019. Majett was recently the Chief Administrative Officer for the Prince George’s County, Md., government. Majett has worked as a Board and Committee Member of the Metropolitan Washington Council of Governments; the D.C. Water and Sewer Authority, or D.C. Water; the Pension Trust Fund Board of Trustees; and she was the Chairman of the Position Review Board. Majett previously worked for the D.C. city government in several positions for more than twenty-nine years. In 1985, he joined the D.C. Office of the Attorney General, and he was an Assistant Attorney General for about nineteen years. He was also the Chief of Assessment Services at the Office of Tax and Revenue. In 2011, he was named the Director of the D.C. Department of Consumer and Regulatory Affairs. Majett is a member of the D.C. Bar Association, and he is currently on the steering committee of the D.C. Affairs Community.
