Madhuri Kommareddi appointed Director of Workforce Development, New York Governor's Office

May 13, 2019: Madhuri Kommareddi was appointed as the New York State government’s Director of Workforce Development by Gov. Andrew Cuomo on Monday, May 6, 2019. Kommareddi was previously the director and head of credit investor relations and product management at BlackRock. She previously worked at the Clinton Foundation as the Director of Job One and the Director of Program Development for the Office of Hillary Clintona. Earlier in her career, Kommareddi was the Director of International Economic Affairs at the White House National Security Council and the White House National Economic Council, where she led White House work to convene the first G20 Labor and Employment Ministers meeting. She also has worked as an Associate Staff Secretary at the White House, as a policy aide on the Obama for America 2008 presidential campaign and the Obama-Biden Transition Project, and as a Policy Coordinator at then-Sen. Barack Obama's office. She has also worked on several political campaigns. Kommareddi graduated from the Yale Law School and from Northwestern University.
