Edwin Huertas appointed as Milwaukee Deputy Director, Wisconsin Governor's Office Milwaukee Office

May 14, 2019: Edwin Huertas was appointed as the Milwaukee Deputy Director at the Wisconsin Governor’s Office Milwaukee Office by Gov. Tony Evers on Wednesday, May 1, 2019. Huertas is a native Milwaukeean and he has worked on connecting under-represented populations to private and government sectors to find common ground and solutions to social issues. Huertas graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee with a degree in community-based organizations policy and leadership, and he later worked as an AmeriCorps Public Ally. Most recently, Huertas assisted with constituent and neighborhood relations and policy research for Milwaukee Alderman Michael Murphy. He is currently completing his MBA at Marquette University as part of the Trinity Fellowship program, with an emphasis on social and economic justice.
