Emily Ashley was Selected as the New Director of Citizen Information and Resources for Chesterfield County, VA

March 26, 2020: Emily Ashley was selected as the new Director of Citizen Information and Resources for Chesterfield County, VA. She began working in her new role on Monday, March 9, 2020. A Chesterfield, VA, resident, Ashley served eight years as the county’s Emergency Management Coordinator before heading to Henrico County in May 2019, where she served as the Division Director of Emergency Management and Workplace Safety, charged with implementing a new division responsible for a comprehensive Occupational Safety, Environmental and Health Program, and all facets of emergency management. Ashley holds a master’s degree in public administration from Old Dominion University and a bachelor’s degree from Missouri State University. She is also certified as a Virginia Professional Emergency Manager and is a 2013 Chesterfield County Emerging Senior Leader alumna.
