Geoffrey Okamoto nominated as Treasury Department Deputy Under Secretary for International Finance

Jan. 10, 2019: Geoffrey W. S. Okamoto was nominated as the Deputy Under Secretary for International Finance at the U.S. Department of the Treasury on Monday, Jan. 7, 2019. Okamoto, of California, is currently the Deputy Assistant Secretary for International Finance at the Treasury Department. He was previously the Majority Staff Director at the U.S. Senate Banking Subcommittee on Financial Institutions and Consumer Protection, and he was the Policy Director at the U.S. House Financial Services Subcommittee on Monetary Policy and Trade. Okamoto started his career as a consultant at KPMG. Okamoto received his B.S. degree from California State Polytechnic University, Pomona, and he received his M.P.P. from Georgetown University.
