Michael Bogren nominated as U.S. District Court Judge for Michigan Western District

March 11, 2019: Michael S. Bogren was nominated as a U.S. District Court Judge for the Western District of Michigan on Friday, March 8, 2019. Bogren, of Michigan, is currently the chairman of Plunkett Cooney P.C.’s board of directors, and he is the managing partner of the firm’s Kalamazoo, Mich., office. His practice focuses on representing municipalities in federal and state courts, including First Amendment, zoning and employment cases. He is also the Village Attorney for Hopkins, Michigan. Bogren received his B.A. degree from Western Michigan University, and he received his law degree from the University of Detroit School of Law.
